South 32's ergonomic office design

South 32 office

South 32, London

When global mining and minerals Company South 32 moved to new London offices, they wanted to create a working environment that was efficient, friendly and safe, reflecting the qualities of their Vision and Values, yet up to date in terms of ergonomics, wellbeing and technology. They appointed a strong professional team, who asked Interion to provide help and guidance in the selection and specification of furniture that would meet or exceed their expectations, within reasonable budget parameters.

What We Did

Working closely with the client team, we made a number of recommendations and arranged showroom visits to allow all the stakeholders to review and assess the range of products available.

We then created a fully detailed and costed proposal, and were appointed to source, deliver and install the entire scheme.

We were able to make some very positive contributions to the success of the project by integrating complex power and data solutions within the specified electronic sit/stand desks – including specially designed and constructed secure laptop drawers.

Naturally, we delivered on time and on budget. This was a happy team; we very much enjoyed working with all of those involved – and it seems that the feeling was reciprocated!

Who We Worked With

The design was driven by Olivia Saxen and her team at Woods Bagot. The resulting workplace exudes sophistication and consideration, yet is not in the least ostentatious. Project Management was by Jack Pugh of Savills, in partnership with cost consultants Quantem’s Chris Collett. Fantastic fit-out specialists Corley & Woolley were the Main Contractor.

Supply Partners

What our client said:

“The Interion team provided a responsive and accountable experience running well past the finish line. Furthermore, via value-engineered alternatives and suggestions our budget was conserved without impacting the end result, nor timings of our very tight programme.”
